Default How many of you took met 6 mo. or more before it started working?

I've read a lot of success stories from people that had only taken met for 2 or 3 months. How many of you took it for longer than that before you noticed an improvement in your cycles? How many months did it take and are you IR or non-IR? (I'm non-IR and I'm on 2000 mg ER/day).

Thanks!

hey hun, didn't want to read and run, but i started met about 3 weeks ago, and after my first tablet,i noticed my AF came on, and i hadn't had one for over 100 days!

it was really heavy, and i normally dont get AF heavy, and it lasted about 4-5 days, like a proper one should. i also had EWCM, ut not sure if i ov'd as didn't use OPK's.

just thought i'd share my experience, and it seems to be working well for me very quick. and i've been losing weight too.

good luck x x

I started met in Nov 2008 I had not had AF in a year. I got AF in May 2009. Lossing wieght slowly, and feeling much better. I am currently on day 59 of this cycle and so hoping that its not much long before I get AF again.

For me the Met kicked in right away. I started Met in May of this year....that same month I had EWCM (which I had never seen before) and o'ed on CD19 (previously I wouldn't o until CD30 something)...I have seen improvements ever since. This cycle I o'ed on CD13...that has never happened for me before.

Wmoody - I started met in janaury and built it up to 1500mg daily in february.. still no signs of AF, really feel as though i need to be on a higher dose so seeing endo in september and going to ask also would like to be put on ER version as standard doesnt agree with tummy very well..

The upside i have lost 1 stone 5lbs in a year and most of it has come off since january when i started met!!!

I too would love to know if anyone got their AF longer than 6 months as i feel so unlucky at the moment!

Met didnt worked for me until a year! My cycles are regular because i also take progesterone, but what i wanted to see with met is ovulation, and just this month I did see for the first time that EWCM...I almost cried. My RE was thinking of putting me into clomid but I want to see for another month if i'm going to O on my own again or better yet if I get a bfp!!!

Goodluck!
