Hi there! Basically, take the same amount of soy that you would of clomid. So...I ovulated best on 150mg clomid, so I used 150mg soy. Some of the tablets or capsules are 40mg, some are 50mg. Mine are 50mg. Basically it should be as close to the dose of clomid as possible. Hope this helps!

PS...the thread for TTC with soy is in the TTC forum, it's titled "For those of us using soy"...if you want to check it out or join us.

Hi! I was just wondering-are ya'll using Vitex or anything else like that-or-just soy? I've been on BCP for a couple of years (since a divorce) but have recently remarried and stopped taking the pill 4 weeks ago. I've been taking Vitex for about 7 weeks and am just waiting to see if I get AF on my own--never did before. I was wondering if I should try soy along with the Vitex. I never O'd on Clomid (6 rounds of it several years ago).

Hi Shell. I did use Vitex for a while last year. I started taking it 11/30/05, and got AF by 1/14/06. It normally doesn't work that fast, it usually takes about 3-6 months to work because it's a slow working gentle herb. I still don't fully know why it worked so fast for me. How much vitex are you taking?
After I got AF from using vitex, that's when I started on the soy. One word of caution: do NOT use vitex and soy together. They both have estrogenic properties, and can interact. I swelled up like a balloon, seriously swelled up, it was horrible. So...once you get AF from vitex, you can use soy...but don't use them together. Good luck!!!

I'm using the GNC brand capsules-500mg, and am taking 2 each morning. I was taking Dong Quai also, but stopped because I wasn't sure about taking them both together. Thanks for the info! Hope this works for me--and you too!!
