My script is 5.oo for 60 500 mg pills...I also take 2 a day. I am curious how much it is without insurance in case I don't have my benefits in a few months.
Target and Walmart both have Met on their $4 plans. I pay $12 for a three-month supply.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Of course the game is rigged. Don't let that stop you--if you don't play, you can't win.
I paid 14 dollars for a month's supply...at the time I was happy it was cheap but now I see I paid they most. With out insurance I believe it would be about 40-80 a month depending on your dose.
Treatment: Started Metformin and Yaz the BC Pill
TTC since August 2004
Stopped TTC May 2008, trying to regulate hormones and lose weight before trying again.
I really want to have a baby before the end of 2010. This means I need to lose alot of weight and get my PCOS under control.
If Met is the same as fortamet (don't really know the difference) then Im getting ripped off. I have Empire Blue cross/blue shield and I pay 35.00 for a 500mg 60 day supply.
I've never heard of fortamet (I'll look it up though), but Metformin is the brand name and Glucophage is the generic. I pay $4 for my 1 month supply...
LadyVirgo - I found this info when I researched FortaMet... http://www.factsandcomparisons.com/a...oz0577&cs=ncpa
It does look like it's the same thing. PLEASE see if you can get your rx changed to Metformin so that you can save your money each month! This makes nooo sense the price difference in the same medication...
Fortamet is a brand of extended release metformin, which would explain the price difference
For a 60 day supply 1500mg a day i pay $4 a month on walmarts prescription plan.
