hi I was diagnosed about a month ago and have been on metformin since. I want to take as many vitamins as I can too in order to help whatever else I can help (hair, weight, hormones). I read a post about folic acid helping hirsutism in large doses. The dose (50-60 mg) is way above the recommended daily dose and I'm hesitant to take that many pills. I would if I knew it was safe.
What dose of folic acid do you recommend? And also specifically for hirsutism?
