Unhappy How much longer can I do this?????

As some of you know I have been dealing with unexplained dizziness! 6 months ago I was DX with Labarynthitis, which is an inner ear infection that makes you feel dizzy, but generally only last for 6 week! NOT 6 + months.

I had a head CT in december and it ruled out tumors, cancer etc which is good, but I AM STILL DIZZY!

Sometimes I feel like jumping off a bridge, but we have none where I live!:o

It feels like 24 hr drunkiness! My doc said last week that it could still be the labarythitis, cause she can't find anything else wrong with me! I see her again on thursday, cause at my last appointment she said she was gonna do some more research! Then refer me to an ear nose and throat specialist, but she said it would take a REALLY long time to get in!

I am also gonna get a referal to a psychologist, cause I am just so frustrated! I don't know how to live with this!

I CAN'T drive
I CAN'T watch the t.v sometimes
I CANT do anything that involves concentrating on something
I CAN'T live like this!

For sh*t sakes I can't even shower unless my hubby is at home to come in with me, cause I had a dizzy spell in the shower at christmas and fell out of the shower!

IT'S THERE 24 HRS A DAY! Sometimes mild sometimes worse!

God please help me.............

Sorry for the huge whine!

((((hugs))))
I wish I had some words of wisdom for you- but I can listen when you need to whine. It must be very frustrating to be dealing with this 24/7. I hope that you get some relief soon.

And I am glad that there are no bridges near where you live Whine to us instead - that is a much better solution.

Thank-you

I just keep thinking " what if it never goes away"

Most times I can deal, but sometimes it is so frustrating. I just get tired of feeling drunk all the time!!

I know this is payback for all the drinking I did when I was young lol!

Jay I'm SO sorry you're still having these dizzy spells! I can imagine how frustrating it must be (not to mention dangerous if you are home alone)! I really hope that they are able to figure out what's wrong and get you feeling normal again.

Good luck.

Thanx guys!

I know things could be much worse, but I am just frustrated you know???

I am very fortunate that I don't need to work etc, but I would like to get back to having a somewhat normal life! When everything is spinning you concentrate on things so hard and it is physically exhausting!

I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy

Yikes....I used to get frequent nauseous spells, which were bad enough. But dizzy all day? I hope things start getting better...quick!

If you're trying to get in with an ENT, make sure you get on the cancellation list. I was going to have to wait almost 3 months for an endo, but I got in on a cancellation almost right away. Definetly worth it.

Did it start about the time you started using your Litebook? Or any meds? Hmm....

I know you're frustrated...hang in there.

this may be a stupid question, but has your doctor looked into Vertigo or possible hypoglycemia.

Different people I know have had a feeling of "being underwater" and it turned out htey were hypoglcemic and there sugar was wacked out.

I was a hairdresser for a few years and A woman I worked with had bad vertigo. She would just suddenly get dizzy and feel like she was falling.

If you havn't aske dor been tested for this..please talk to your DR.

I go to the doctor like every week LOL! I am seeing her again this thursday. It's not hypoglycemia cause I get that once in awhile too.

I have only been litebooking for like 2 months and this dizziness has been going on for 6 + months.

I'll be sure to ask about getting on a cancellaion list though!

Thanx..........

Tickled Pink,

Sounds like your doc hasn't got an answer and is now trying to rule stuff out. It might be better to see some specialists than be left worrying without a firm diagnosis. The dizziness must be driving you mad. I've heard that dizziness is normally more about your inner ears than anything else. Have you had your ear, nose and throat appt yet?? Hope your appointment goes well when you go.

Hi,
Just wanted to say that my dad suffered from dizzyness for 2 weeks before we insisted on taking him to our hospital here. He is on hbp and diabetes meds and after a COMPLETE neurological work up the last thing they did was have an ENT come in and they found that it was indeed an inner ear infection. I would say RAISE HELLL till you get into an ENT cause dizzyness is the most frequent underdiagnosed symptom. That said try to remember ifyou changed any meds then or even got new prescriptions filled then cause that can cause it too.

GOOD LUCK.
