I have been on 1500mgs since October, was wondering if thats not enough?

Hi, for those of you that are taking 2500 mgs or more, I'm just curious why your doctor chose that amount. I have always kinda thought 2000 was the highest, but apparently not? Maybe I should be on a higher dosage? Thanks in advance for your replies. Jean M.

I recently found out, and posted, that although 2550 mg is the highest recommended dose for regular Met or Glucophage, 2000 mg is the highest for Met ER or Gluc XR.

I just started 500mg today. I took Rezulin years ago and got pregnant with my little boy. I'm not ttc, I just want to lose some weight and control some of the other symptoms. Is 500mg enough?

From what I have read 1500 mgs is the least amount taken to be effective. It will take a while to get used to each dosage step. 1500 was the worst for me, but now I'm at 2000 mgs and lovin it!!!
