Default How much is too much?

I recently saw my Endo for my 1 year follow up since diagnosis and the Nurse practitioner bumped my dosage from 1000mg to 2000mg. Basically, all my blood work was fine, but none of my physical symptoms really showed any change.

My cycles typically ran around 50 days, and they still did once on the met. They jumped the dosage in hopes of getting my cycles in check. I didn't have much problem adjusting to the new dose, but I can't help but wonder if it's overkill. At my 6 month appt the actual Dr said that as long as my bloodwork was good, and I wasn't worried about the cycles, she saw no reason to increase it. The NP immediately went to 2000mg without batting an eye.

Has anyone else found a simliar situation with Met bringing bloodwork in check, but not physical effects? I just hate to be overmedicated I guess, using more than necessary.

The other fun part of this is that it means I'm supposed to get 120 pills a month, but my insurance will only cover 100, so now I can only get 25 days worth at a time
