Hello everyone . I am wondering how often you buy a hpt? and what your DH thinks about it? I buy 2 (they are cheaper in a 2 pack) about every 4-5 months, (sometimes more, it just depends on how I "feel") I don't think DH really notices how often I buy them. He is always with me, or I send him to pick one up, but he's never said anything about it. Sometimes I feel like if it wasn't for me, the hpt people would be out of a job. lol. I just look at it like this. Look at how many people are employed b/c of me. lol.

I buy lots even tho im not even cycling lol, but my periods werent regular my first 2 pregnancies so a little bit of me has hope. I just went to the dollar store yesterday and bought 15 for 1 dollar each

Yeah such a great deal, I think I was paying around 1.50 in bulk online so still cheaper and dont have to wait for shipping! We have a few dollar trees around here so I dont think ill ever pay what I used to. Also, every 4$ target brand one ive boughten has given me no control line so theyve been a waste for me.

I hate when I buy these stupid tests and there is no control line. It is such a waste of money!! That's how they suck you in. You see, when I do my test, I dont' just do the 1 and wait for a while to do the other. I do them both within days of each other. Crazy!! I guess I'm just a sucker for punishment. lol.

I buy them online and I buy so many that it is not funny. DH has no problem with it. He just is waiting for me to tell him that I got a +. I usually dont tell him if it is -.

It's funny, I was just thinking about this the other day and how the cysters probably single handedly keep them in business! We're not TTC, but we're not always as 'careful' as we should be *tsk*, so I buy them and he doesn't know about it. You can get the little diagnostic ones on amazon for like $.60 per test. Same with the ovulation preditor ones too. I think of them as 'peace of mind' due to my irregullar cycles.

I buy them in bulk too on the internet...If you buy enough you can get them for about 90 cents each. I usually buy about 25 at a time. About every 2-3 months *hangs head in shame*
It's an addiction for sure!

I bought quite a few for the first 5 years after I stopped taking the birth control pills. Probably every 2 months or so. Then I had to take the pills again, so I haven't bought any since, even when I don't take the yasmin and don't get AF, I've never suspected I needed a test.
I hated the stores where you had to get someone to unlock a case to buy them. One time the cashier smiled wished us good luck...and then it looked like she had a second thought and wondered if we were hoping for a plus or a minus, I guess. Was kinda funny.

OMG- i use to buy them every month at least for a few years. My hubby use to joke about buying stock in HPTs. In the last year and half i only got them twice ...Then i started getting the blood tests done since it was covered (why waste the $$ when you can know for sure!) i am paranoid because i have very low progesterone so i need to find out asap! But sadly, i am taking the year off cuz of my meds , need to loose weight etc....so No tests for a while.....but ill always hope for a "maybe baby" : )
