Default How often do you wake up to pee???

Hi girls,
I have noticed that I am waking up way more often to pee during the night....it seems like every 3 hrs...I used to NEVER wake up, then once in a while 1 time a night...
I am not drinking more before bedtime....
I do not pee often during the day...
I have reads that this may be a symptoms of diabetes....
any info??
thanks,
rani

I feel like a weirdo now, but I never get up in the middle of the night to go unless I fell asleep on the couch or something... then I wake up anyway. At any rate, I thought diabetes right away too, but I think that just happens as you get older too(not that you are old... just older than you were last year ) Good luck!

Yes, you need to check for diabetes if this has become a regular thing, especially more than once a night.

It's normal for a lot of people, on the other hand, to pee once a night, especially depending on your bladder's capacity, what you've had to drink, etc. But if it is a regular pattern of more than once a night, time to raise the issue with your doctor.

i have bad nights when i'm going every couple of hours. its that feeling where you've got to go really bad, and only a few drops come out. otherwise probably two or three times. i'm a diabetic though.

It could be diabetes related (I'm being tested for that tomorrow!) but something else to consider is sleep apnea. Before I was diagnosed with it, I was up three times a night to go potty-or so I thought. I was easily waking up that many times a night so I'd go to the bathroom thinking that's why I woke up. One doctor asked me if I was waking up frequently in the night and feeling I had to go to the bathroom. I bring it up because sleep apnea can also go along with PCOS. It could very well be diabetes related, though. Good luck!

Unless I eat a lot of watermelon or drink a lot of water before I go to bed, I never get up to go to the bathroom during the night. I usually sleep right through.

Talking Am wondering too...

Hey, you sound like me too!! I know for sure that I not diabetic (at least for now) and pee lots of times during the day and night. Sometimes i get up once or twice during the night. The longest I can last is up to 6am without going to the bathroom.
You should really check the dr about diabetis (is this correct???) before going to a urologist or something. I asked my gyno and he says he thinks it is cause I might have Endometrosis or something. Will know for sure when laparascopic surgery is done in December. Good luck and make sure you see the doctor before freaking out...

I had the samething my dad has diabetes type 1 so my mind went there also. But went to Dr.s and they said I have a overactive bladder. I am now on Ditral La for it. Does not help that much but up only one time a night on some nights used to be up 4 to 5 times everynight. So maybe have Dr. check for that.

I was like that too. Now I'm on Detrol LA once a day. It has helped so much. They had to up my dosage once I started spiro, but everything seems to be fine again. No more waking up 3 or 4 times a night!
