I was curious how old everyone was when they had their DX?
I'm 18 now and was dx when I was 14. Back then doctors told me it was rare for young teens to have PCOS, but now it's so common.

I started going to the doctor about my problems when I was 12 and finally got diagnosed when I was 15. They told me it wasn't that is wasn't rare for teens to have it, but that it was rare for teens to be diagnosed with it, because it is so difficult to diagnose and most teens don't want to go to the gyno.

yea when i was diagnosed most doctors didnt know whether or not to say i have pcos or not just because of the difficulty

I was dx this year at the age of 17 but had problems 2 years before it was just the problem of seeing a doc about it

I started going to the doctor for my symptoms when I was 15. I was actually diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18.

Wasn't until I found SC actually, that I figured out I was probably doing the wrong thing.

i was dx when i was 20. my periods were never regular but i thought nothing of it until i started talking to my gfs about it. my partner of the time made me see a gp, who happened to be his dad. i remember when he told me i had pcos and i would have problems having children i cried and cried. i was glad it was in front of a dr who i loved (im very close with his family)

23yrs old for me... i hadnt had my period for 2mths..thought for sure i was pregnant then when I finally got AF, thought for sure I was dying...lol...it was very bad and crampy. Went to the dr and he dx'd me after many a test as well as other things from my past that just put the puzzle together. BCP's and Glucophage for me after that.
