I was diaganosed this past spring at 19.
My periods would hop from every other month, to every three, then back...until I hadn't had one for almost a year and found out that it wasn't just unusual, but not good.
I was dx'd at 16. I started with a simple physical because I gained a lot of weight in a year. From that doctor, I was referred to a gyno who suspected PCOS but sent me to the endo anyway. Endo confirmed it and voila. Here I am today.

I think I was 18, but I totally resisted going to the doctor. I am sure I had it from about 14 or so.

i was diagnosed at 19 (now 20) but had the symptoms since i was 12-13, but the doctors kept fobbing me off, even when i had no af for 6 years and had so many of the characteristics of it. I remember one doctor tried to just tell me to lose weight and try herbal remedies for my skin, its like, what ya think iv been trying to do since i was 13! (sorry bit off a rant there lol)
i'm kind of new. i was just diagnosed about 2.5 months ago - about a month after i turned 20. i think i've had symptoms for about 3 years. my dermatologist was the one who mentioned i might have pcos. when i mentioned my irregular periods to my general physician, she just kind of dismissed it. i'm glad someone caught it. i would have been so oblivious.

I started going to our family ped. for problems with pains (cysts) around 15/16.. but they thought I was full of it after everything they did showed no results, finally, as SOON as I went to a nearby women's clinic, they gave me a DX of PCOS within a few weeks! That was when I was 17.. I'm now 20.
