Well, nice to know from all of your reading that this lovely PCOS is why I was so late with my period. I've always wondered - my friends thought it was so weird that I didn't have my period, and I started in the 8th grade (Easter of all things - what's up with the holidays???). Mine was very heavy and tampons were a must in order to move on with life in a normal manner.

Technically 9, it was a 2 or 3 weeks before my 10th birthday. I was in 4th grade and I had no clue what was going on. I remember I was playing on the jungle gym with a friend and I thought the stains on my white shorts were from the rust off the bars. Man was I waaaay off!

They were very heavy to start, but I only ever got them twice a year at the most, up until I was 19 and finally convinced my mom that they were not stabling out, the pains were getting worse and I needed to see a doctor.

I was only 7 had to have an op to seperate adhesions at the age of 8. My parents thought something sinister had happened me with a man, as were asking me strange questions.
I didn't have regular periods as in they stopped, came back when I was 9, then stopped back again at 11 got awful pain at that age, then nothing until I was 14. I was regular for a few yrs, then became irregular. I have PCOS and endometriosis. Started having awful period pain from about 1995, was diagnosed 5 yrs later.
Think I was born with PCOS as always had more hair than other kids

I was 10... And it was very heavy and they came every damn month till I was 17 or so... Then they just stopped. But I have really bad cramps and pain around the time I had AF... It would hurt when I pee or poo..... Still does when AF comes around now the I'm not BC...... Sometimes being a girl sucks soo bad!

I was 17. First period was induced by Provera, to make sure everything was functioning, since I was so old. Then I started on my own about a year later.

My first was on my 14th bday exactly.....Then I was irregular till I was 16, but then lost a bunch of weight and went without one for a year.....was put on bcp when I was 17, went off it 3 years later......and then stopped having periods again (and gained 30lb). I had 4 provera induced periods until my body finally started having them on their own again about a year after I stopped the pill. I'm still having some issues with things though, low progesterone and issues with weight loss Trying really hard to figure out what is going on with that.

Mine was during VBS. I didn't even get to finish my project as I didn't want to go anywhere that week, but I still got the certificate for the week, lol.

I was 12, almost 13, and we were flying home from Florida. I kept getting up to go to the bathroom on the plane because I couldn't decide if the stain on my underwear was actually my period. Silly me!

Needless to say my mom was really upset that I kept getting up because she thought I had eaten too much junk food.

When we landed and went to the bathroom in the airport, I came out of the stall and told her that I wasn't sick. . .I thought I got my period. She whipped out a pad and said, "Well, probably!" like it was no big deal.
