Only been on it a month and feel fantastic but have been telling my doctors for the past 15 years that I felt like s**t and was just laughed at time and time again!!!
cant beleive I wasted so many years feeling awful, eating sugar like there was no tomorrow and losing and piling on stones in weight over the years.
I just started taking 250mg and am adding 250mg each week on Tuesday. So far I haven't had another SUPER noticeable in terms of side effects. Once in awhile I get a sour stomach and then I just eat a Tums Chewable...they are so yummy!

I first started taking Met when I was trying to get pregnant the first time. I was 27 then. Took a few years off and started again when I was 31. I am now 32 and TTC our second baby!!!!
I have taken it for 3 years, minus months 3-9 of pregnancy and while breast feeding. Prior to that though I took a combination of BCP and Spironlactone for 10+ years! I was diagnosed in 1994. 14 years ago!!
I plan on starting tomorrow, at the age of 23. Birth control makes me bonkers! I have been off of BCPs for about six months now and all of my symptoms have returned. The doc is starting me at 500mg of the XR. Fun filled weekend planned so I hope that my stomach remains calm. It sounds like 500mg is a common does to start at. How common are the side effects at the low dose?

Hopefully my dr will give me a prescription for met in Sept. I am 22!
