Just wondering how old other ladies were before they were finally diagnosed. I was diagnosed only a few months ago at age 30 after about 10 years of going to Dr's to figure out what was going on with me. Just sort of wondering if this is normal or if I had a ton of incompitant doctors......I'm so glad I finally have a diagnosis. Now we can try to work on this as we TTC.

I was about 24. After going to countless doctors over the years and getting no where, a friend of my recommended her doctor to me. He was a gynecologist who also turned out to be an RE. I had no idea what an RE was at the time but I finnaly ended up getting a diagnosis.

I was 19. I started having weight issues in 4th grade. I had my first period at 13 1/2, at first getting 3-4/year. At 15 I started finding some dark hairs on my chin. By the time I turned 19, I had been a year without a period.
About that same time, my cousin was diagnosed with diabetes. I read an article soon after that about things that can cause weird cycles, and diabetes was mentioned as one. So, I went to my cousin's doctor who ran a bunch of tests, determined I didn't have diabetes or a thyroid problem, but that I had an enlarged ovary. He then referred me to a gyno who ran a bunch more tests and finally diagnosed me.
That was many years ago, and the only thing I was told at the time was to go on BCP's to regulate my cycles and that I would probably have trouble getting pregnant. I wish they had understood PCOS better back then.

Just a few months ago at the age of 29. Although I have had symptoms since I was probably between 9 and 11. Really bad acne weight gain around my stomach and once I got AF can't verify it was "normal", but can't verify it wasn't either. I didn't pay attention to this kind of thing back then.
I was 19.
I've always been a bit more... hairy, than the other girls. This kida explained that..

I was 25, when I went to the doc for af lasting almost 1 month, saw an endo got brushed off and told to loose weight. At 28 wanted to start ttc#1 saw ob/gyn who did bloodwork and an u/s told me yeah you have but you need to chart to get that was a little over 1 1/2 years saw an re endo who confirmed march of this year that yes I have it and they can help... FINALLY!!!

i was 16 at the time i found out and my doctor said i better cry now because i would never be able to have children, so the sooner i cried the quicker i would get over it. so doctor he turned out to be.

I was a little over 23. I knew there was something wrong, but I didn't want to admit it. We had been off BCP for about 2 years and I had never even had a SCARE. I knew something was up....
Techincally i got dx at 16. I found out a few years ago my first gyne dx back when i was 15 and never told me or mom but that another story.
