It is possible. It happened to a friend of mine twice, and she was taking ones with high estrogen the 2nd time around because the doctor knew she was fertile Myrtle! BCPs can cause those symptoms too, especially in the first few months until your hormones level out on them. Tri-phasic BCPs give me morning sickness. Loestrin made my breasts very swollen and painful.

I think the failure rate is somewhere between 1 and 3% with BCP... but I wonder if it might be *slightly* higher with PCOS especially in the first few months on the pill because as our crazy hormones are suppressed they become normal? I got pregnant on Yasmin and it seems quite a few other cysters have as well, although it is not the only pill to have failed for us with PCOS.

Of course BCPs can cause the symptoms you are describing as well... sore boobs, nausea... I was on a pill once (forget which) and for a period of a few days early on without fail I would through up within an hour of taking it. No idea why and it went away in a few days but it was obnoxious while it lasted.
