So I think this question seems almost dumb, but I figured I would ask anyway since I am at wits end with these things. I have never been formally diagnosed with the cysts (meaning no ultrasound to see them) but I know they are there, I can feel when I have them and the symptoms come on like crazy..I noticed they went away for about 6 months, my hair stopped falling out, acne went away, everything..and about two weeks ago I started getting the ovary pain again..the hair loss came back full force with acne.
I would like to know if anyone has had success with ANYTHING in shrinking them..natural, drugs (besides BC, I can't go back on it)..progesterone cream..anything. I am desperate to rid these painful entities!!
Hia - I having huge success with progesterone cream, I actually found this hormone specialist company on the internet, they are called Bio-Vitality. I didn't know what the problem was at first, so i was just surfing and i found these guys, so i gave them a ring to see if they could help me and they recommended doing a hormone test (was really easy - i did it from home!), then once we got the results back they recommended a protocol of supplements and progesterone cream to take. and they have tonnes of info on their site!
Anyway good luck!

Hi cheech, I paid about £300 for a PCOS profile, and for that I got the actual results (which meant absolutely nothing to me! - but i think they are supposed to make sense to a doctor!), a physicians report, which basically explains what the numbers mean and if i'm high or low in anything (it also has some quite good resouces, like books to read, or internet sites to go to!) and the last, but probably most helpful thing was a holistic health report, which is written by a hormone health specialist, in she suggested supplements that i could take, which will help my situation.
I'm taking pro-gest (obviously!), multi support - which has tonnes of stuff in it - i think its is sort of an all rounder!, i'm also taking andro balance, which apparently has something to do with balancing the male hormones in my body?!! gluco support, because apparently i have got slight insulin resistance, which is very common with PCOS, and lastly 5HTP which helps with depression.
I have to say that I was very pleased with the amount of information I got with it all!
lets me know if you have any more questions - if i can help just one person in the way i have been helped i'm pleased!!
