how soon to TTC again?

I recently had a complete MC (6 weeks), the doctor said my body did very well at expelling and i can try again after one period. I went to see another doctor for some other results and she said 2 months. the doctor at the hospital said in 2 weeks i will ovulate again (yeah right).

i only MC just over a week ago and emotions are still quite raw, but i need to know if i should use contraception or not. Naturally im not going to take clomid again until i get an af, or an induced one. My freind fell pregnant after a MC (9 weeks), on the very next cycle - she is currently 7 months and everything is going well. so she didn't get an af. I've heard that your more likely to concieve after a mc too.

why do the doctors say to wait?

I'm so sorry for your loss.

If you miscarried naturally it is usually safe to try again after one cycle. With a D&C they recommend 3 cycles so that they lining can rebuild, and everything can heal.

Some woman do get pregnant after a miscarriage, and some do carry just fine like your friend. But many woman also go on to have another miscarriage.

One thing to take into consideration is, what if you miscarry again? Could you handle it so soon after your loss? Do you feel that your body is 100% better yet?

I say to err on the side of caution and wait one cycle if it was a natural miscarriage. Everyone's opinion on this is different though. I just think being cautious is a good idea.

At was 14wks and was told to wait 6wks or until the bleeding stopped to resume sex & at least 2 cycles to TTC.

At almost 6wks I was told to wait one cycle.

Yes it is supposed to be to conceive right after a loss, but they say to wait to give your body (& emotions) time to heal before trying again.

I was told to wait 1 cycle then try again from the hospital and my doctor told me to just keep trying!
I just had 2 M/C's back to back one July 11th at 12weeks B/O
and one Aug.20th at 5weeks and 4days
After the last one I waited to have a normal cycle this is now my 2nd normal cycle.
