Well, (here are some thoughts)
At the age of 16 (or during my high school daze) dating was not really a priority for. I was trying to figure out who I am.

At such a young age I did not want to know what girls had to go through. I was not ignorant, just uninterested. (no girlfriend, therefore no interest)
Anyway, I am now married, and I knew my wife had PCOS, but it had no meaning to me. I started to research PCOS because it affected my DW. There are some books in the Newbie section that are recommended.
I have read “PCOS; The Hidden Epidemic” by Dr Thatcher. I think this is a good book to read if you want to understand PCOS. It gives a textbook definition. It was hard to read because I have a hard time relating to a subject that does not affect me personally. It affects me because I am married to someone who has PCOS.
It’s not really something to one would discuss over dinner, but it is a topic that needs to be discussed between. I know when I started to learn about PCOS, I was freaked out.
It might help him if you bring to this site to see what is here.
