How thin are all of you?

I am 5'6" and weigh 150. I'm *not* a little-bity-skinny-miny, but not overweight.

But i find that if i eat simple carbs and sugars i feels awful afterwards. I do eat carbs but i make sure they are complex ones.

I don't really diet per se, but I do not overeat (minus the occasional Chipotle burrito, but can ya blame a sister?) I've been about the same size since the 8th grade, so I just try not to gain weight.
DH and I will be starting an exercise/diet program coming up here shortly, but more for toning than for actual weight loss.
I have to say, I'm pretty lucky with my symptoms. We'll see when it's time to TTC just how lucky I am! |

After I had DD, I went back to 108lbs before getting pg again two months later. Now, 8 months after having DS, I'm 115lbs. I'd like to get back to 105lbs (my jeans fit better), but I'm not stressing about it.

I'm not on any diet, but I think I need to be on the low carb, just to see if it gets my periods to come.
kis95, did you have your AF regularly before you got pg?
were you taking any meds? |

i'm not overweight but my BMI is on the upper side of healthy - i do have quite a bit of muscle but... I try to eat a balanced diet, am going to try to eat more of an insulin resistance type diet, though i was told by my gyn i'm not insulin resistant, and i'm not overweight, i have many symptoms that make me think i could be slightly IR: frequent cravings for sweet/ high carb foods, The need to eat often or excessive amounts of food, weight gain mostly around my waist, a history of PCOS (my nan and mum have PCOS), the feeling that i am addicted to carbs, headaches or nausea etc that goes away when i eat, afternoon fatigue.... i could go on. although cinnamon and ACV have helped, i'm going to make more of an effort to do the protein linking thing (described in the IR diet) and hope the excess weight will come off and my periods will regulate, otherwise i'm going to try metformin.

were you taking any meds? | No...that was one of my main symptoms. I'd only get AF maybe three or four times a year. I ended up getting the PCOS Diet book and I started low-carbing. I also began taking Met. Within a month of starting both the meds and the low-carb, I got pg! I had one AF after I had DD, and found myself pg again! Since having DS, I've gone back on Met (I stayed on it for the first trimester with both pgs, and then started it again once I gave birth) and my cycles are between 32 - 41 days. That's definitely regular for me! I'm currently taking 1500mg, but I'm going to up it to 2000mg shortly. My last two cycles were 41 days, and I'm wondering if my body is getting used to the minimum dose.
