I'm just trying to eat balanced meals (a Chipotle burrito is a balanced meal...proteins and carbs!!) I have also been trying to eat my meals on a salad plate instead of a dinner plate. I'm also trying to be more active thru-out the day.

I made a deal with my husband to try to only eat sweets 3 times a week, but that is sooo hard and I have already totally failed on that! How do you all do it?? |

I've also been told to go on a low carb diet. As my Aunt put it, low carbs for an Irishwoman is a fate worse than death!

Technically this is a healthy BMI. However, I did experience a lot of weight gain (for me) in the year before I started doing something about the PCOS.

Points: 5,775.67 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 5,775.67 | I'm 5'6" and 120lbs. Used to be even thinner (110lbs) before I think I started seeing symptoms of PCOS (irregular cycle). Went on the Yasmin for 2 years to regulate my cycle. When I came off the pill I did not get AF at all naturally. So I was finally just recently diagnosed with PCOS. Started 1000mg of Metformin yesterday. Hoping to get AF back, but also hope I don't lose too much weight.

Points: 175.11 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 175.11 | i'm 5'9", 130 lbs. my cycles have always been super-long, and i've been on bc (yasmin) for so long that i probably haven't ovulated in years. not that i would if i were off the pill...
My weight fluctuates seasonally and due to the amount of exercise i get. i like to run, and when i'm training for a race or discovering a new favorite activity, i dip five or so pounds lower.
I wouldn't say i have a fast metabolism, but i eat much, much more than the average person, so exercise keeps me in check. i am powerless before chocolate, most baked goods, and anything fried or carb-y. A doctor tried to put me on a low-carb diet while i was at college to manage PCOS symptoms (mostly hirsutism) but i caved after the first three days. i haven't the willpower...and it was too tough for me with all the exercise. |
