Hi All,
After reading your posts, the majority of you are not "thin" your jusr normal.
Im 5'5" and 105 pounds, thats a low bmi Ive been like that my whole life and have never been able to put on weight. I eat anything and everything, yet I still have pcos, just like the rest of you. Ive been on met for about 4 weeks, to firstly bring on my periods, then hopefully get pregnant. Nothing as yet, so Im looking to up my intake until something happens.... its just so frustrating waiting!! Im on 1000mg a day at the moment and counting....

I barely qualify as a "thin" cyster, 135lbs at 5'2." Will you still take me? I don't think any sane person would call me "thin," but I am in the "normal" BMI category. I would like to get down to 118-122, which I was for about 2 years from 2002-2004. After that I gained 10-15 lbs, then could never lose it (I didn't try though, really.) I hope losing 10-15 lbs will help with my pcos treatment even though I'm not really overweight. I think if left to its own devices, my pcos might have caused a bigger weight gain over the next few years, I'm glad I will have it under control with the help of my doc.

I think most of us categorize ourselves as thin cysters if weight is not a factor in our PCOS. That being said, maybe I'm a bit sensitive, but I'd still consider myself thin anyway!

I am 5'6" and 125lbs. I think you're considered a thin cyster even if you are "normal" size because "normal" size is thin for women with PCOS.

5'5" and 109.. it's really hard for me to gain weight. i'm trying to modify my diet but I have a real sweet tooth. any tips on herbal supplements and vitamins you guys take that helps the quality of your periods and hairloss? my doctor is really reluctant to prescribe anything..

I got to say, your doctor sound wack! What kind of words of wisdom are those. There are plenty of thin women with PCOS, it's just not talked about. I am 5'5 and weigh 104. Yet, have every single characteristic of PCOS except obviously the obesity. I hope your doctor doesn't dismiss your issues just because you're thin.

I'm 5' 2" and 112 lbs. My weight fluctuates between 109 and 112 lbs. I look very slim in to most people but I've still got big boobs and a big bum!

I'm 5'3" and 120lbs (majority of which is in my midsection). I used to be 100lbs when I was on BCP.
