Hi,

I'm 5ft 6in and weigh 126lbs. Was 112lbs ten years ago when I got married and 135lbs is the heaviest I have been so far. Borderline IR and currently on BCP's which has packed on a couple more pounds here and there. Try not to eat too much sugar and carbs if I can help it.

Finally someone like me that cannot gain weight very easy. I am 5'9 and 120lbs. I was DX with PCO over a year ago. My OBGYN is great and is the one who DX me but when I go to a fertility specialist they think I am just too skinny and cannot possibly have PCO. Not every PCO case is classic...obesity , hairy, acne etc.

Glad to see you here. Good luck with your journey. Are you trying to get pregnant?

I'm 5"3.5 and weight just under 130 (between 125 and 128). I don't think of myself as thin...but I am not overweight (not anymore...I lost about 10-15 lbs recently). But I don't exercise (chronic pain problems) so I probably have more fat for me weight than most ppl do.

I used to be the same way till I started bouncing around a lot of drugs to control my periods (I have one too many). When I was first dx, docs thought that the doc that did dx me was off his rocker. Well, after a few tests, it proves that he was right.

Like I said, I wasn't able to put on weight until after I started bouncing around on hormones.

Was 5'7" 120 lbs (before meds). Now 5'7" and 145 lbs.

HTH.

I'm 5'2 and 117lbs. I've been this size since I was 15 years old, I'm 29 now. I used to be very active in high school but since then not at all. Since being diagnosed in December I've been at the gym 4 days a week and trying to eat healthy. This week I am eliminating beef, pork and chicken and trying out this pseudo vegetarian life.

Hey all, I'm 5'7" and right now mid-150s but for the past 5 years I've been mid-140s. But then I went of BC and got married a few months ago and here we are - I'm trying to lose the extra 10lbs.

About 5 years ago I tried to enter a study on PCOS by a NYC hospital and was rejected because I was too thin - they said I didn't really have PCOS even if my bloodwork and ultrasounds showed that I did.

yeah, i was pretty peeved at the time because i had called in during my lunch hour and spent about 30 mins on the phone with a woman who was in charge of the prelim search for women with PCOS and after I told her about b/w, u/s, irregular cycles, some acne, some hair on chin, blah blah blah - once i mentioned i weighed 140 or 145 (whichever it was) she was like: you were misdiagnosed and we are only looking for women who are overweight. i wish i could remember who was running it ...

Are you going to be supplementing with a lot of soy products? I've read some articles that state soy can mess with estrogen levels, so you might want to be careful if you are going to add a ton to your diet.

Hey! I can't remember if I've ever replied to this, but if not I am 5'3", 109 lbs.
Anyway, I don't want to offend or insult anyone, because I know how touchy people can be about their weight, even thin women, bc we can sometimes get a lot of crap from people about being thin, BUT I noticed a couple of ladies who are 5'6" and 5'7" and weigh 110 pounds, and I just wanted to let them know, according to "The Fertility Diet", the minimum healthy BMI for conception is 19, and the weight for 5'7" to have a 19 BMI is 121 lbs (118 for 5'6"). So, you know, being underweight can screw with your cycles too. Something to consider.
