5'5'' - 135 pounds
I was around 142 last year but have been trying to eat well and exercise regularly. I lost 6-7 pounds within the last year and I really feel great now. My energy levels are high and I am able to handle disappointment better.

Question

samanthaheavener - I'm in the same boat. I was dx this week (though I new I had PCOS months ago) and the doctor told me "you know, an extra 5lbs would only help you." As if I am not conscious of that!!! I'd been pretty steady at 110 lbs (5'1-5'2) for the past 6 years and now I'm 100lbs. I didn't want to lose the weight (I've lost boobs and I had none to lose!) but didn't actually do anything to lose it: I'm less active than before and I eat same as before. Not sure what to do - if I eat more, I'd feel full & ill afterwards.

Hi,
I am 5'9" and move between 145-150lb depending on how well I am eating and how much I am exercising.
Does anyone else get the attitude of "you can't have PCOS" becuase you are thin? I was diagnosed with PCOS 13 years ago and to this day, each time I see a new MD (which is a lot becuase my DH is in the military and we move around) they seem to think the know better just becuase I am thin?
UGH!
anyway, great to find this community, I've only been on the boards about 5 days and I'm already feeling better just knowing everyone is out there.

Yes, I get that. More so from Endo's then my OBYN. I am also getting mixed messages about ovulation. I have one Dr. telling me that if I have an HCG shot then I WILL ovulate. My OBGYN did ultrasound after ultrasound and only once saw signs of ovulation. I was on HCG every month except the time that they think I ovulated. Crazy. Well, after almost 4 years of trying, we are very close to completing our IVF cycle. Wish us luck!

5'6" and 138lbs. For the last 8years, I have fluctuated b/w 130-140 with the weight mainly in my belly and thighs (love the thighs, hate the belly).

I'm 5'4" and 122lbs. I was at my heaviest in 2000 at 140 which came on pretty quickly and was when my gyn suspected and started to notice PCOS symptoms. I lost it all about a year later on a Candida diet (very similar to an IR diet) and got down to 110. I wasn't able to keep it all off (damn sweet tooth) but I have settled back in at my average weight of 120-125 which I have been since I was about 14.
