hey ladies! im new here. i was diagnosed recently with lean pcos. when i was heavy i was 101% regular, never had any problems. Well flash forward my "life makeover" I lost nearly 100 lbs in the course of a few years, started exercising regularly, quit the sugar and refined carbs..went from a size 20 to a size 6-8. Only after I lost weight and began eating healthy did all hell break loose! Leave me to do something back asswards... Ive been having my high and low days but i refuse to let this keep me down!!! its nice to have people to talk to!

I am thin and have always been @ 5'6" normally 130 but 124 now after a 4&1/2 day migraine. Just diagnosed though 5/1/06. When I went to the Dr and starting telling him my woes and that my mom had PCOS he said well you don't fit the bill, but that doesn't mean you don't have it.

Since having DS, I've gone back on Met (I stayed on it for the first trimester with both pgs, and then started it again once I gave birth) and my cycles are between 32 - 41 days. That's definitely regular for me! I'm currently taking 1500mg, but I'm going to up it to 2000mg shortly. My last two cycles were 41 days, and I'm wondering if my body is getting used to the minimum dose.
Wow Kis! You give me a little hope. I too don't get AF hardly at all on my own either. I have a Dr. appt. on Friday and I am going to ask her to give me an RX for met before I try Clomid again. I have been trying to also keep the refined carbs out of my diet (for PCOS, not weightloss). I am happy that it worked for you!

i am 5"3 and weight 115 pounds. I do not watch what i eat AT ALL. I was wondering what are examples are refined carbs? Does watching refined carbs really help with AF? my cycles are between 28-33 days only because i took fertility blend for a couple of months before that they were all over the place.

Hi all! I'm 5 6 and 130 pounds. Although I'm physically slim, I still think of myself with 35 pounds more. I used to be 165 then lost 35 pounds after having pnemonia. I have maintained my weight ever since 2003 (when I got sick). I'm puzzled since my family dr keeps telling me to lose weight.

Most days I watch what I eat (eating less carbs then I have had in since 2003) and drinking TONS and TONS of water. BUT, I will never turn down ice cream or choclate.... my down fall
I have picked up going to the gym, but I'm not very motived to go and work out.

I'm 5'4", right now I weigh around 140, but I'm still losing baby weight-- I should be between 130-135.

Hey, this is my first post, but from what I've read, I'm excited to start getting to know everyone. I wouldn't consider myself a "thin cyster" now, but I would have before I went of the pill in Dec, 05. Then I was pretty muscular, 5'7, 150 give or take. Since then, I have gained about 15 pounds. I hate it, my clothes are tighter and I just feel uncomfortable! Since my last period in Dec., I have not had one since. I was dx with pcos about a month ago, although reading up on it before hand, I was pretty sure I qualified by my symptoms.

What fertility blend did you take? I do not eat healthy at all either. I'm trying, but it's HARD!

Hello all,

Mind if I join? Its nice to have a place to talk to others about weight and not feel self consious.

I'm 5' 5 and currently weigh 133lbs and I'm continue to lose more weight. I was 110 for years. I don't care to go to the weight again. I had several drs. try to hospitalize me for anxeria. I would like to get back to 120 though. I gained about 5-10lbs after getting married. I weighed 147 at my highest weight. And then some additional weight after going off of the BCP.

I don't diet though. And my eating habits haven't changed that much. I love food. I joined curves and follow a pretty strict exercise routine. This of course was dr. reccommended. Apparently exercise has been found to be an effective treatment for PCOS. It has worked for me. Since exercising I have gotten AF on a regular basis. Just a little worried about the rate that i'm losing weight at. Thanks for listening to me rant. If I told most people that I know how I'm feeling they would think I was nuts!

I just found this site this week. I got diagnosed last week based on my history and old labwork. I'm breastfeeding right now so my endo can't do fresh labs until I'm done.

I'm 5'9" and am 140. I think this is one of the main reasons it took 5 years to get an actual diagnosis. I just don't fit into the typical pcos box. I'm a bit frustrated b/c when I finally met the endo. I learned I could have been diagnosed when my gynie first ran tests for the fertility issues I was having. Oh well. We did clomid, have twin boys who are 4 and I got pregnant last year immediately following a miscarriage after a clomid cycle.

Right now I'm not on any meds. I just stopped taking bcps today due to side-effects and I really need to have AF. They were progesterone only pills due to me nursing. I read that those type of pill really don't help pcos much anyway.
