My Mood: Points: 7,443.98 Bank: 2,390.19 Total Points: 9,834.17 | How are you dealing with hirsutism and hairloss? Any info would be helpful as excess hair is my main problem. I am on dianne-35 and would like to try something else to reduce the need for more pharmi drugs. I tried metformin but my hair is now falling out. I've been getting good avise about hairloss and suppliments but anymore info on this and hirsutism is always nice.
Thanks |

My Mood: Points: 7,443.98 Bank: 2,390.19 Total Points: 9,834.17 | For Hairloss Eat a high protein diet: plants like beans, soya. From low/good fat and protein sources like fish, eggs and poultry.
Wash hair daily to remove oil buildup, the oil contains testosterone which can reenter your scalp
Supplements include minerals like zinc; taking a mega multi vitiamin and multi mineal suppliment; biotin (5000-8000 mg/day); vitamin b complex; omega3 fatty acid like fish oil; ferritin for iron deficiency; and lysine which can be found in soya, beans, lentils (Indian pulse dishes like sambar an excellent sourse), spices like black caraway seeds and black cumin, spinach, carob, and cereal grains
The only herb I know of is saw palmetto
Keeping my fingers crossed that these will help |

My unwanted hair is growing more slowly, and my hair loss has decreased. Even DH has noticed and said, "You're not shedding as much as you used to!".
I hope someone else will help you out, but so far those two have worked for me. My combination of supplements I am taking seem to work very well so far!
Good luck to you! (both of you!)

I want to give these a try once I finish my last pack of dianne-35 because I don't want to be on it for much longer. It's nice to hear of people succesfully dealing with this with natural methods. |

My Mood: Points: 199.98 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 199.98 | maybe another possibility to fight the hair loss Hi @all- I wanted to share my good experience with the perscription free med that is called PRIORIN (produced by Bayer Pharma)- It is in a green package and it contains only natural ingredients. On the package it says expicitely that it is made for women with androgenetic disfunctions and to stopp the hairloss. I stopped taking the BCP two month ago because also did not want to continue them. I got bad hairloss and was desperate. I decided to drink one Liter of soymilk and to eat tofu which I buy the BIO Shop not from the normal shops, so I can get sure that they soy is not genetically changed. I also took the PRIORIN (not Biotin- Biotin was offered to me in the Pharmacy, too) for two month. Besides, I eat A LOT of fruits and salad to control my weight and do something good to my body... The Hairloss has stopped AND I got my Period for the first time ON TIME (normally with a range of 2-3 somet. 4 month !!) without taking BCP. I will continue this diet because it helped me. Also, I am planning on taking other herbs such as some of you recommended (vitex agnus castus, licorice, palm salmetto etc.) But the success is, only with the soy, fruits and Priorin already there. I am very happy! I will not have to take the bad Pills again, hopefully.
I just wanted to share this with you, If someone is interested in Priorin, I hope they offer it in the US and elsewhere, too. Maybe a little hope for you, too...
I wish you all the best and- donīt be desperate- I think natural remedies are the best and healthiest way to succeed on a long term !!
Nina
PS: Now I only have to stop smoking completely (bad habit from a lot of europeans ) and buy me a new bed (matrace) - because of the bad quality of my bed I got back pain, lately... But this should be the smaller problem, I guess.. *gg* |

My Mood: Points: 7,443.98 Bank: 2,390.19 Total Points: 9,834.17 | Hey thankyou for your advice ladies. As of today I have stopped taking diane and am back on saw palmetto. I will check out these other recommendations and let you know how it goes. I am feeling very optimistic. I also have a terrible mattress. I am sure the alignment of the back and sleep affect this condition as well. My mom is seriously lactose intolerant so I use soya and tofu in everything. I do need to start eating way more fruit instead of all the carbs. |

I don't know if they sell it here in the US though, but it's something I'll look into, for sure.
Good luck with quitting smoking. I quit at the beginning of this year, and while I have been fighting the social smoking urge, otherwise I have been doing pretty good! You can do it!!! it's rough but you can do it!
