I was just recently diagnosed with PCOS because DH and I are TTC #1. I'm on Metformin XR 1500mg and Dexamethasone, .5mg (for eleveated DHEAS levels). My testosterone is normal, but I do show marked insulin resistance. I'm also going to be starting Clomid 100mg this next cycle.
I'm 26 and live in Texas and am about to start teaching my first year of elementary school. So glad I found this place!

I've lived in SA most of my life (with brief forrays into other parts of Texas and up into Ohio). I love it here.
Kotzurk, I actually used to live right beside Lackland. I still live fairly close to the area now.
Lupe, thank you!
jorologrl, my RE started me on the 1500mg right away and I find taking it after a full meal (about 30 minutes) and taking it with milk really, really helps. I also have a high-protein snack about an hour after I take it and it seems to do miracles for the upset stomach.
How are all you ladies doing? This Texas weather has been insane this year. |

I make things and I also market things my parents make. It's been fun, but not so lucrative yet. If an interesting public relations job came along, I'd go for that on the side.
we are also working on our first bebe! my question for the SA babes -- what are your hobbies?
i am mostly nerdy, crafting, reading and writing. our favorite hangouts are bookstores and the library. i'm also a semi-pro coffee drinker, and i started running a few weeks ago! but i am very very amatuer at the running. and i love yoga and my cats. except sometimes i hate my cats.

Hobbies, you say? I have a few of those...lol. I'm pretty nerdy, too. I love reading and I knit, crochet and I'm learning to sew. I also am an ice-cream connoisseur, but I'm working to make it more of a long-distance relationship....lol. Let's see, I also just got a pedometer and started walking. Hubby and I have some nice bicycles and I want to get back to riding and I want to get back into playing golf, too. I also love movies of all kinds. I totally understand about the kitties. Sometimes, I love them to pieces and other times I want to duct tape their furry little butts to the wall !
What kind of things do you make? I love crafting. I wish I didn't have to work, but c'est la vie! I am hoping to bring some crafting into the classroom, though.
If you keep an eye out at the universities in town, they are sometimes hiring for PR stuff. That might be interesting. Then again, I'm a nerd so I think most things are interesting!!!
SA cysters...what part of town do y'all live in? I live on the NW side, but it's really the outskirts of town...lol. |
