I have bought HPT's before and I am currently using the strip kind from saveontests.com, my question is, from the HPT's available OTC which one do you think is the best to pick up early hCG?
These are the ones available in Australia:
Answer, Clearblue One Step, Clearview, Crystal Clear,
Discover Onestep, Dotest, Fortel and Pregnosis.
I want to go and buy another brand to test to see if I am seeing the second line or not but unsure which one I should buy.

I am trying to think back to the pg test I used with ds. To be honest I think I've used nearly every brand you've listed there over the past 3 years.
Now from memory I think Pregnosis and Discover Onestep are good.
Now...when you do this second test, I want to know what the result is!! That's really exciting.

If your seeing a second line I reckon it's a positive!!!!!! WAY TO GO!!!!!
I was just about to post in here a smiliar question because on Friday I took a HPT just the standered Clear Blue one, and I got a faint positive. After much deliberation and looking at every angle I knew I wasnt imangining that second line. I was thinking about buying another brand but instead I have made an appointment with my doc to do a blood test.
Just wanted to wish you luck - are you going to ask your dr for a blood test on Thursday???
I don't know too much about the different tests, (I've got a heap of Saveontests brand at the moment)... but I seem to remember Fortel detects over 50mg - so thats not very sensitive.... Saveontests strips are meant to detect 25mg....

The 2nd line has definately been there, my fiancee saw it without having to squint LOL, and as I am a compulsive tester (thank goodness I bought in bulk otherwise it would be costing me an absolute fortune) I have been testing everyday....BUT .... I worked it out last night ... I am only 7dpo today!! Thats why I am still a bit apprehensive and want to buy another brand of test to see if it shows up on that one as well. I even tried to take photos of it with the webcam but even though we can see the line, it won't show up properly on the photo. grrrrrr LOL
I can hardly type........CAUSE OF GOT EVERY BODY PART AVAILABLE CROSSED !!!
I am pouring the babydust to you both and can't wait to hear the test results. Keep us posted.

My blood test came back negative, I am not pregnant. Im feeling pretty sad, have never ever had HPT come up with another line so was so sure this was it.

GG!! I am sitting here stunned sweety!! I am so very sorry that it came back -
I am starting to think that I'm not pregnant either... not sure why though as I am feeling pretty horrid at the moment, very very nauseas and really sore bb's!!
Anyway I have forbidden myself to test anymore, its not going to make me any saner by doing it! Will just have to wait for Thursday to ask Dr for the blood test.
