Hi Asherlexie,
I too have been diagnosed with cervical dysplasia. I had a colposcopy with biopsy done twice (one in 1997 and the other in 2007). Hate the cramps!
As I've posted elsewhere on the site, I just read some of Dr. Lee's book What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause: Balance Your Hormones And Your Life from Thirty to Fifty. I'm quoting from the book on page 109: "...Many things can irritate and inflame the cervix and cause a Class II pap smear, including traumatic or unloving sex, tampons, condoms, douches and spermicide...Progesterone deficiency also contributes to dysplasia and may make the cervix more susceptible to the above irritations..." The author goes on to say that colposcopies, biopsies and conization surgeries are sometimes unnecessary when the cervical dysplasia can be made to disappear with an aloe vera douche, folic acid, vitamins B6 and B12, vitamin A and E and using natural progesterone cream. Except for the douche and the progesterone cream, I've taken the other supplements and have been clear of cervical dysplasia, two pap smears since the abnormal one last year. I recommend this book which has enlightened me in many respects. Good luck! |
