Default Hsg

So, I had my hsg this morning but the doctor said he couldn't get a seal so the dye kept leaking out. I don't know what this means. Any insight or experiences with this happening?

Thanks for the responses. The dye wouldn't even cover my uterus, it seems the dye was coming out as fast as it was being put in. All my doctor said was "well that wasn't very helpful". Can you get pregnant with blocked tubes? I have had 6 miscarriages and 1 live birth, so maybe partially blocked?

I dont know what would cause the dye to come right back out. Maybe they didnt have the catheter placed correctly or didnt inflate the catheter enough to block off your uterus. I just had an HSG done two weeks ago and it showed that my right Fallopian tube is blocked. Because of that, my only option of concieving is IVF. It is not possible to concieve if both your tubes are block except with IVF cuz when you ovulate the egg has no way to travel through your tube and become fertilized. They can operate to remove the blockage but my Dr. told me that its a waste of money to do that cuz its likely to become blocked again and it also increases your chances of having a tubal pregnancy.

hi if you have conceived before im sure your tubes arent blocked and dont always rely on a hsg as i had a hsg and the contrast went all the way but didnt spill my gyno said it is not blocked he said said my tubes are open but had spams at the end hsg isnt always 100% reliable due to the fact the tubes can spasm it is always more reliable to have the second hsg done if if 1st shows blockage just in case it was a spasm i had my hsg last day of my clomiid cycle so had clomid days 5-9 had hsg day day 9 to ive been having the worste pain during sex oucchhhhh but i have to put up with it or defeats the purpose of using clomid and having hsg good luck ladies and 1 more thing my friend has only 1` tube she lost other to tubal pregnancy but let me tell u she is a mum to 9 children with 1 tube twins also

it could mean your cervix meay be to open so when they pass the tube through it dosnt fit tight and create a seal just gaps so when they insert the dye it just pores throught the gaps and leak back out
