Hi, do any of you girls know..if the HSG is considered a 'fertility treatment'....?
my insurance doesn't cover 'fertility treatments'.... does this fall under that category???..I sure hope not!!!!
It also says procedures and tests requested by a specialists are covered...hopefully the HSG is in that category!!!

Your post I find intresating because I thopught N.Y. was a mandatory infertility coverage state hmmm. My HSG was covred and my insurance comapany said the same thing basically. My Dr. had to write something else on the script other then DX infertility so I think that helped it slide by the claims department. GL

My HSG was considered "radiology" so it was covered 80%. I had to pay the 20% out of pocket. I don't think anything was said about it being infertility. Just make sure your doctor doesn't pose it that way.
