I'm getting an HSG done on Thursday and my doctor wants me to take Doxycycline antibotic, the night before the HSG and for four days after that to prevent infection. I have IBS, so I tend to read all of the side effects on the inserts because of this lol. My question is, has anyone taken this antibotic before? If so, has anyone had unpleasant side effects from it such as IBS/ severe stomach issues? I hope not.. I'm not looking forward to the HSG as it is, I really don't need to have any unpleasant side effects from the meds. the day before and four days after! Any info. is helpful, thanks!
