I've been a total brat to God since Rivi died. I can admit that now that I can look back clearly...I've cursed Him, I've yelled at Him, I've blamed Him, in a way, I've even hated Him.
And He's still there. He still loves me. He still moves in my life to help me. And, when I deserved to have Him turn His back on me, he gave me another son to fill part of my broken heart.
You can't get more loving that that!

Almighty God, the great I Am
Immovable rock, omnipotent, powerful, awesome Lord
Victorious warrior, commanding King of Kings
Mighty conqueror, and the only time
the only time I ever saw Him run
CHORUS:
Was when He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
“Son do you know I still love you?”
He caught me by surprise when God ran
The day I left home I knew I’d broken His heart
And I wondered then if things could ever be the same
Then one night I remembered His love for me
And down that dusty road ahead I could see
It was the only time – it was the only time I ever saw Him run
And then He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
“Son do you know I still love you?”
He caught me by surprise as He brought me to my knees
When God ran – I saw Him run to me
BRIDGE:
I was so ashamed, all alone and so far away
But now I know He’s been waiting for this day
I saw Him run to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice I felt His love for me again
He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said, “Son”, He called me Son
He said, “Son do you know I still love you?”
He ran to me and then I ran to Him
When God ran
This is a wonderful testimony to God's healing love.

Viv - I did not have the same experience as you, but have experienced the same amazing grace. My prayers for motherhood were answered through the miracle of adoption, and our adoptions went quickly both times. And I went through some of the same stages as you after losing all 3 of my angels. Thanks for sharing
Jashobeam - thank you for posting the lyrics to that song, they are incredible.

Thank you! I think he's beautiful, too, but I'm a little biased, lol!
Jasho, thanks for those lyrics. I'm going to have hubby download the song for me.

Viv- You are his child. He loves you no matter what. He understood where the yelling and the cursing him came from. He was hurting that you were in pain. He stayed by your side and he always will!
I know this was posted awhile ago, but I just read it today and it reminded me of something I read in Philip Yancey's new Book called Prayer.
"At one of these conferences, we heard a hospice chaplain tell of a patient who asked to see him because he was in great emotional distress. He was in the last stages of cancer and was feeling very guilty because he had spent the previous night ranting, raving and swearing at God. The following morning he felt dreadful. He imagined that his chance of eternal life had now been lost forever, and that God would never forgive one who had so cursed and abused him.
The chaplain asked the patient, 'What do you think is the opposite of love?'
The man replied, 'Hate'.
Very wisely, the chaplain replied, 'No, the opposite of love is indifference. You have not been indifferent to God, or you would never have spent the night talking to him, honestly telling him what was in your heart and mind. Do you know the Christian word that describes what you have been doing? The word is 'prayer'. You have spent the night praying."
Isn't that beautiful? Anyway, just wanted to encourage you to continue to honestly share your heart with Him. He knows anyway.
