I've been absent for a while because of the big storm Katrina. We are O.K., but lost the majority of our possessions and had to relocate. But, we are alive and in one piece, that's all that counts! Thanks be to God!
In relation to PCOS, I had to deal with my facial hair differently during the aftermath of the storm. With no electricity (and, hence, no make-up mirror) for more than a week, I had to resort to shaving. (I usually use tweezers) I found this method (shaving) to be very unsatisfactory!!! I was constantly having to deal with stubble. And, I couldn't really tell how well I was removing the hair, so I was really feeling self-conscious! But, now we have electricity again and I am back to tweezing. I am so glad! I would hate to have to shave indefinately.
And, my diet and exercise is sort of becoming normal again... The people we are living with eat very differently. They hardly ever have vegetables (for example). So, I am having a time adjusting to a different environment. But, thanks to God that we have a place to live!
God bless you all!

It's great to hear from you and it must have been such a stressful time. I am sorry that you lost your possessions, but thank God you are alive! I have been thinking about my cysters from that area so much!
Speaking of shaving, there was a SoulCyster on here who sent some nice "girly pink" type razors and shave creams and such to the Hurricane victims, which I thought was a good idea, but others were wondering if they would have gotten to the women there because if it had reached an area where there was outbreaks of vandalism, the razors could have been confiscated as weapons! Do you think that they would have gotten them? I would imagine it would depend on the area where they were sent.
Anyway, I am so glad you are all right and I just know that you will get back on track now with all your plans and goals!
Kathryn

I am so glad to hear that you are ok! What a terrifying experience. How are you doing now?
We have pretty much settled into a new location. Still waiting on the insurance man to view what is left of our house. I feel at peace because there is really nothing more I can do right now.

I have no idea if they would have gotten the razors or not.... I can't imagine why not!
