Default Husband Diagnosed with Major Depression Syndrome

I hope you don't mind my being here, but my husband was just diagnosed yesterday. Does anyone have any advice on how to cope with a new diagnoses, or have any online support groups for family members?

some of us on the site are also dealing with depressed men, and there are articles there too in the articles section and in the depressed men section.

Hi I just found out my husband is in depression also. We seperated and he went a Dr yesterday and they diagnosed him with depression and possibly bi polar or something. They put him on Celexa. Im in the same boat as you. Trying to learn more about it.

Hi (((HUGS)))

My husband has been BiPolar for many years, before I even met him. It's an everyday struggle, but as long as the lines of communication are open and you let them know that you are there for them, it's a start. Find a therapist yourself and inquiry about what else you may be able to do to help them.

Dh was on Zoloft when we first met and he took himself of gradually. Now he's not on it and he's doinf alright, however I wouldn't advise that unless you talk to the physician about it.

(((HUGS))) Good Luck. I hope things will look up for you guys soon. I'm here if you ever need to talk sweetie!

Blessed Be
~Corrie~
