My doctor has just diagnosed me with "possibly" having hyperthyroidism, which makes no sense at all. I have more of the symptoms of hypothyroidism. I have to make an appointment to see an Endo., so hopefully that will provide some more insight. I was put on Toprol XL 3 years ago after having an anxiety attack. While I was in the hospital they discovered that my heart was constantly racing. I haven't had any side effects from it, and it seems to work.

I didnt have any luck with the meds. I had the rai therapy yesterday and from what I have read and what the doctors have told me thats the best way to go. Good luck!

Do you still have the symptoms you were having before it was removed? I will for about 3-6 months with the rai.
