I think PCOS is more of a problem with your body processing the insulin versus having too much.
I've experienced low blood sugar/hypoglycemia for quite a while now. Usually it was just getting really cranky if I went too long without eating. After I started Met it got worse with the lightheadedness and headaches.
I'm no doctor, but you may need to reevaluate your carb intake, especially if your a workout a lot. Your body really needs carbs for exercise. Just try to have some protein with it. I've found that if I do that I really do feel great all day. None of the lightheadedness. I eat about 5 or 6 mini meals a day....Breakfast, lunch, dinner, a snack between each and if I had a really light dinner (like salad) a protein shake before bed. My main problem was hypoglycemia when I wake up in the morning, so the shakes work like a charm.
I think if you introduce more good carbs you'll feel much better, just don't forget the protein. Take a look at Jillian Michaels new book. I found it very informative...she even talks a little about PCOS.
good luck!
