Hypoechronic rings around ovaries, anyone?

Is it normal to have hypoechronic rings around one's ovaries with PCOS? Why or why not?

It is normal to have a mass (roughly same size) on both ovaries at once appear several months after no period w/ PCOS? Why/Why not?
