I was wondering if anyone has had a hysterectomy? If so, did your PCOS symptoms lessen? The Dr. said that the excess testosterone that I have is being produced by the ovaries. So I thought that if I had them removed, then that may help the symptoms. I also know that it would remove a source of estrogen also!! Any advice anyone???

PCOS isn't at all helped or cured by hysterectomy. The only real purpose that would serve is to lessen pelvic pain.

Your doctor is wrong about testosterone - it doesn't just come from your ovaries, it comes from your adrenal glands as well as most other hormones.
