I'm sorry your diagnosis has hit you so hard. If you are suffering from mild depression, there are medicines out there or even counseling. Sometimes just getting together with other women with the same problems and talking it out can help reduce stress. I know that there is a stigma attached to taking medication for depression, but if it is nessecarry, you should think of it more like fighting cancer. Neither is your fault, and you shouldn't hesitate to treat either like a real physical problem that can be treated. I have spoken with several people with mild depression, and meds worked wonders to get them out and about again. They are amazed at what a small pill can do to help allevialte their feelings of hopelessness and depression.
I hope you don't focus too much on PCOS. I'm really glad you have found this site, and that you are seeking asnwers. At the same time, I agree that a hobby is often a good thing to get our minds off of our bodies and lives. I think it is so neat that you are an artist, and I would encourage you to look around and see where you can use those talents to help others: painting murals in a children's hospital, offering free drawing classes for the elderly, or even just painting what you see around you and donating the picture to a charity auction.
Just remember, anytime you need to just Rant or blow off steam, there is a whole section on here for that, and your fellow cysters definitly can relate to at least some of your frustrations and worries, and can help encourage you
