OMG, I am finally back on the boards, you see I changed jobs, forgot my password and finally tonight, after one try I logged on.
Well, I am starting Met, tommorow. Again. This time I plan to stay on it. I want to wish all my met sisters a Happy New Year. Sorry to hear CristyZ is gone. One question, I know it best to low carb on met, but what if I join Weight Watchers?? Would the met still work? Or do I have to be LC?????
GLAD TO BE BACK!!!!

Welcome back, Selina!
I hope you have lots of good results from met this time around. Good luck with the new job, too.
Christy isn't gone, she's just not around enough to be a mod anymore. She still helps people and is very active in the diet and exercise forum.
Speaking of diet, there is a lower carb/higher protein plan on WW these days. I think there's info in the diet forum about it, and searching that forum might bring it up if it's not a sticky. Or just ask, there's a lot of gals over there on WW. Good luck with it!

Selina!! Good to see you back on the boards! Any plan that includes low or lower carb intake will help with the meds. I have read many posts of cysters who are doing the WW plan, incorporating lower carb choices, and doing well! It is not necessary to do the extreme low carb thing to see results for yourself. The whole time I was losing, I stayed in the range of 75-90g of carbs a day, and I still stay in that range today on maintenance. Find the level of carbs where you feel your best, and know that we are all here rooting for you!! Good to see you back!

Selina! Good to see you again, girl! I had you on my buddy list and wondered where you'd fled to.
Moderating carbs is a great idea, because it keeps your insulin from what you eat from counter-acting the insulin-lowering of the drug. Like KY said extreme low carbing is un-neccessary. I was in the same range she was for carbs and hit my goal in the fall...and have still lost another 5 pounds. Gauging by how you feel (avoiding hypoglycemia etc) is the best way.
So happy to see you back...see you around soon.
