Question I am back and i have questions!!

Hey girls. I am back,I used to post in the trying to concive board. I have severe PCOS and am thinking about adoption. We are gonna hopefully do a IUI on Thursday and Friday. I go in Wednesday for a ultrasound to see if my eggs are ready yet. I went in yesterday on CD11 and my biggest egg is only 11.5mm. I was on clomid 100mg. days 3-7. I am also on 2,000mg of metformin. I got my blood drawn yesterday and my progesterone and are all low. My was only a 55.
Now that you know my background I have a few Questions on Adoption that I hope someone will answer.
I wanna adopt my husband is a little confused. His main concern is that you hear all of those kids on the news that were adopted and the birthparents came back and wanted them back years later. How often doies that happen? He was adopted himself so I thought there would be no question.
Also what agencys are good out there? I heard of Lifetime Adoptions and American Adoptions.
Thank you!!!

Jodie, good luck with the iui.
i think it is very rare for a birthparent to regain custody after an adoption has gone through, however there are more and more open adoptions these days, where some contact with birthfamily is maintained.
If that is not an option for you, you may want to concider international adoption, which decreases the chance of birthparent involvement or public adoption, where parental rights have been terminated by the courts.

We adopted our son at 3 months throught the public system, so adopting an infant can be done through the publis system, although is is rare.

in whatever you decide good luck, you will have to make a decision that is best for your family. Would your husband get involved in researching the different types of adoption?
