I am feeling like the XR met is not working as well as the regular

My doctor switched me to the XR version of met in August. I am taking 1500 mg. I don't have any tummy/ BM issues with it. My acne seems to have flared up and my face lookes terrible.

What have been your experiances with the XR? I was hoping my cycles would shorten. I am having my period every 36 days...
