...and I am petrified. blarg. Its between my breasts a little to the left. Its not terrible pain, its just small sharp jabs every so often. Latley my reflux has been bad but I account that to changing from Met to Glucophage and my stomach has been bad. Please tell me this is just a muscle thing and not my heart going funny. Really this is the last thing I need...

Remember that chest pains can be a variety of things, from heart attack, to strained muscles, to esophogeal spasms, to pulmonary problems, given the variety of severity it is VERY important to get it checked out by a doctor.
I had symptoms of a heart attack at age 21 which sent me to the ER, but it turned out to be esophogeal spasms after much extensive testing (still can't eat spicy food - the muscles in my esophogus go nutty).
Get it checked out - at least to rule out the more severe problems.

I called the doctor and he said since I have had bronchitis that its prolly a muscle pull. However, if it gets really painful and I start getting nauseus, go the hospital. Thanks for your respones ladies... Saved a cyster from freaking out!

I went to the doctor with chest pains recently--on my right side. It was mostly behind my breast. The doctor thinks that it is pain from having large breasts. So, I had to by support bras.

I have had chest pains before too and was told that it was acid coming up. It freaked me out and sometimes I still get chest pain but I do have a lot of acid coming up a lot so I still think its that.
I went to the ER on Tuesday, Jan. 18th sure I was having a heart attack. That Friday I had my gallbladder removed. The doctors & surgeon said lots of people come in thinking heart attack & it's gallstones. I hope you're feeling better.

On 9/4/04 I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack. I ended up having a hole in my roux limb due to my pcp giving me prednisone...spent a week in the hospital. It's so weird what goes through your mind during these things. When I woke up from chest pains I layed there thinking that if Bill Clinton could be brave enough to go to the hospital than so can I. He had his heart problem just the day before. The one mm hole did a lot of dammage inside of me. They had to clean me out real good from the acid that spilled in my abdomen.
