Default I am on my way :)...

Hi everyone,

Thanks to the "recommend a dr" board on this site, I have found a Dr in my area (well about 30 min away but that's nothing!). Well, I called my insurance co. to see if I need a referral from my regular Dr's office and they said I do not need a referral to see a specialist as long as I go to an in network Dr. Thankfully, the Dr's in my area that was recommended by Cysters on this site, are on my list of in-network dr's on my ins! woohoo. I'm so happy to not have to go to my pcp's office because although I love him, the staff are pretty much idiots. So, they said I can just call anywhere I want to go and make an appt! Yipee!! So, I called the office that I want to go to and they gave me another number to call the "new patient coordinator" and she was already gone for the day but her message said that she would return the call sometime after 8:30 tomorrow morning! So, I may have found a great place to go, just waiting for the call back. I should have called earlier in the day but it took me all day to get the nerve to call and start this whole process of trying to figure this out again...ug. But, hopefully it'll work out this time.

The place I called is an RE's office that was (i have already said, sorry) highly recommended by one of the cysters here. And I am excited to find someone that good! Hopefully it will be. I told the girl that I wanted someone that specializes in PCOS and she said "yes we do that here!" and I said "I have not been diagnosed, does that make a difference?" And she said no! and I know this might sound weird but it sounded like she was smiling when she said it...lol. NOt really laughing...wish I could describe. She was so friendly! Anyway, just wanted to blab because I am getting excited about maybe finally getting this diagnosed and treated, and on my way to TTC!

Thanks for listening to me ramble! I also have a question since it is an RE and they do work w/PCOS, I don't need to ask for the specific tests right? I printed a list from one of the links on here of blood tests that should be done, but is there anything else that you suggest I ask for? Thanks in advance...and once again thanks for listening to my rambling on!

Thats great news. Its always nice to take a step in the right direction. Be sure to take along your questions with you. I'm not sure where you got them from but you might want to check out www.inciid.org/faq/pcos.html to see if it brings anything else to mind.

GL!

Yep, that is the link I got it from Thank you very much! I am getting excited, but more and more nervous the more I think about it. I hate having "the exam". Ug. I just can't stand it and I usually end up in tears! I guess I'm not getting "nervous" I'm getting SCARED! Oh well, I have lived through it before, I will live through it again, and hopefully this time will get some results! Trying to stay excited too Thanks again. Just needed to blab I guess
