I am new to all of this. Hi- my name is Colleen and I just turned 31 years old and just diagnosed with PCOS yesterday. I have a lot of questions and really don't know what to expect. I have a wonderful doctor and he had a feeling that I have had this for a few months and wanted to try everything else first but after having a miscarrage and gaing over 100 lbs since Jan, and a period lasting 3 weeks, then nothing for 4 months then one for 1 month non-stop he said that he was certain. He put me on Ovrall first to see if the bleeding stopped and it did almost immediatley, but I got extermley sick after taking it, so he told me to stop taking them, and I started bleeding again. I have an appointment on Monday, 11/08/04, and he is scheduling and ultrasound and mentioned something about a biopsy. Sorry -I guess I should get to my question--- Has anyone had a biopsy done and what do the get out of a biopsy, I am nervous and scared- oh yeah my fiancee is a great support for me, but I want to hear for someone who has experienced this give me advice. Thank you for having this board and not making me feel like I am the only one with this.
