Angry I am new and have questions!!!

Hi,

I am on my 2nd month of 1500mgs of Metformin. and i am wondering, my temps haven't leveled out and i havent seen many symptoms!!! i have needed provera to get my AF started. I am not o'ing at all or have AF on my own. It just seems like i am taking the pills and nothing is happening. i went from 500mgs for 2 weeks, then 1000mgs for 2 weeks, and now i am 1500mgs and this is month 2 of 1500mgs. i just feel like the pills arent working. i am just getting frustrated. I just needed to vent, because it seems like the pills arent working. i mean how much longer, geesh!!!!!!! I am just wondering how long does it normally take for metformin to work? i am gonna be put on clomid in feb. but i am thinking maybe i will see something from the metformin before, right??? is this normal not to see or feel any kind of change yet??? i am just tired of hurry-up and wait!!!! should i ask for clomid sooner then after the 3 months of metformin???

Hi

I understand the way you feel, as I have also been on MET around 3-4 months. Last cycle I was frustrated as AF only came with provera. However this cycle it came punctually on its own. From 4 cycles, 3 came on its own and one with Provera.

I believe you need to give it much more time. Some say that it can take from 6 to 9 months to see results...

If you want to see results faster, include some exercise and a diet so the androgens are reduced much faster. If you will be adding clomid to the equation, I am sure you will get good results with the combo MET + Clomid. This cycle I am starting with Clomid too, my first pills tomorrow, so if it works, I will let you know !!

Do not dispair, give it some more time !!
