Default I am officially an NPC believer

I just wanted to post that NPC lengthened the luteal phase of my cycle from 9-11 days on unmedicated cycles to 13 days!!! I am so excited that this really helps!

That's excellent news! How long did it take for that to happen for you?

Just one cycle. . .but maybe it went that quick because I am just weaning and my ovaries haven't had much time to create a lot of cysts yet too. Hopefully with the NPC they won't have the opportunity, either.

ETA: Congrats on your pregnancy! I wish you all the best for your pg and birth! I have to pick your brain. . .What supplements besides NPC were you taking? I just added chromium and cinnamon and am thinking about doing soy on CD 5-9 but not before I get hold of some iodine supplements to add some support for my thyroid.

That's fantastic news! I agree, that's probably why it worked quickly for you.

I took chromium 2000mg for 3 months (stopped it about 2 months ago), DIM, pregnancy multi, zinc/magnesium/vitB6 supplement, 3x omega-3 twice a day (for my thyroid as I have thyroid antibodies - that's an autoimmune dose), vitex tincture, NPC for the last 3 months (I think I may have needed it for about 5 months to really regulate me), a probiotic (my intestines weren't too good from guten allergy that was only diagnosed in February), vegetable juicing (apple, beet, celery, spinach, ginger, lemon, carrot). I also tried to add seaweed to my diet as much as I could for my thyroid (didn't quite get around to adding it as a supplement, though I was going to).

Do you think you need the soy?? Are you temping (difficult with a bub I know) - if you are ovulating, I wouldn't think you'd need the soy.

I also started acupuncture at the start of this year and that was really excellent for bringing my O date forwards. This year I O'd on days 14 (Jan), 13(Feb), 12(Mar). Previous to the acupuncture it was a lot later than that (day 19+)

Wow, that's quite a regimen! Thanks for answering. I am taking some of the same things so I am interested to see how it works. I was thinking of the soy because even though I have had really good ovulation signs the past two months, (I couldn't temp this last month because of my little guy being sick and lots of night waking), it is still pretty late (around CD 22). I did better coming off the pill last time (CD 17) for a few cycles, after which it got later and later, and then I stopped ovulating. Which I anticipate will happen this time as well because it's probably just due to the protective effects of pg and breastfeeding hormones. So I was hoping to keep it going with the NPC and other supplements and *maybe* the soy, which I was hopeful would also get it to happen a little earlier in the cycle for better egg quality.

I may have to look into accupuncture too, if I don't have success with the supplements and cannot get back into IF treatment relatively soon (after the next 6 months or so). It's just that TCM is major expensive here and IF treatment is at least 50% covered by insurance.

I agree TCM can be pretty pricey. My private insurance covers about 1/6 of it. Good luck to you! Hopefully you'll be fine with the NPC alone
