Unhappy I am really in pain...clomid question

I'm on CD 13 and I took my first month of clomid, 50 mgs CD3-8. My tummy is so incredibly sore. It just hurts so much to even move. Is this normal? I feel like something has to be wrong with me for it to hurt so much and be so tender. I know stomach tenderness is normal to some extent, but how much?

Please help if you can and TIA....

Hello,
I took it and felt some discomfort, but not as bad as you are describing. I don't want to scare you, but Clomid can cause ovarian hyperstimulation. This is an ovary enlargement. Please call your doctor tomorrow. Hope you feel better real soon.

Hugs
Niki

hi
i'm on my second round of clomid 100mg cd2-6...in the first cycle i felt occasional pains in my right ovary but nothing so bad as u said...second round was better and i hardly felt anything(it maybe because i didn't o )
but i think u shd get an u/s immediately and rule out enlarged ovaries.....tho' 50mg is a very 'safe' dosage...yet i'd get an u/s to be sure...

love

Thank you so very much for your responses ladies!! I am relieved to say that I feel little to no pain now. I chalked it up to O pains, but man did it hurt! I'm confused though, does this mean I O'd already or what? Or does it not mean a dang thing? I swear this stuff is just way too confusing for me! How many of you had luck O'ing on clomid? I'm praying this is a good month for all of us and I'm grateful to have found you all...

hey chrissy...that's something thought provoking u said....u have no pain when u ovulate??...well...my second cycle was not monitored as the u/s machine broke down and i could not get a u/s and so we went ahead assuming i o'd....i didn't o in the first cycle and i had some strong pain down in my rt ovary...but this month was nice...no pain and stuff and hardly felt that i was on clomid...so...does that mean i o'd?? i have no way to know that.....but if that's something u faced consistently then it might be good news for me....at least i can think i o'd
gotta do a hpt in a couple of days...can't wait.....but had given up this cycle as bust.....don't know if i o'd and don't 'feel' pregnant either.....plus i got that bloaty feeling of af now and i think i'll be wasting this hpt
neeways storeimy...get a u/s done and it's good that ur pain is better......

Hi Indain Beauty. You're correct little to no pain (I have slight cramping sensations at all times-very slight) on cycles I O'd. I always charted my temps. and used an ovulation pred. kit while using Clomid so I usually could see the rise in temp. If I had alot of pain, no rise. I didn't worry so much about it then.

Go ahead and test when time. I always felt as if AF were coming when pregnant. I even took 2 days worth of motrin because my cramps were bad and I was just certain I wasn't pregnant. I was!
Hang in there!

Baby dust to you!

I'm on my third round of Clomid/50 mg. My first month I thought I would go insane from the pain. I hurt really bad w/I o'ed and had cramps for two weeks.

Last month wasn't nearly as bad. I've had a few slight pains, but so far no O yet. Probably the next day or two.

HTH.

storeimy:

I had the same problem my first go with Clomid. I was getting more and more bloated, and I could really FEEL exactly where my left ovary was because it was screaming at me!! The pain and bloating got worse when the Dr. gave me the hcg shot, but then just went away like magic (I O'd finally after the hcg). He gave me the shot on day 14 because the follie was huge.

I've been exercising more this round, so I hope that the follie releases on its own this month (following Clomid).

It's good to hear others have had similar concerns.
