Over the past few days it seems as though my panties have been rubbing on the inerside of my legs. I dont know if they are chaffed or if im getting skin tags but mad it hurts. My husband has been working alot so I havent been able to have him look to see what is going on. It is on both sides and is oh so painful. All I can do is walk saddlesore. I would go without panties but I have problems with my bladder so it would not be a good thing to go without nothing for protection. Anything hits it and ouch. ANy suggestions. Has this ever happened to anyone.

I get a lot of chafing on my inner thighs. I have problems both with panties rubbing and my thighs just rubbing together. I also have trouble with the seams of pants causing problems (I have really sensitive skin). I have found that baby powder in the morning helps (and also apply it a few times throughout the day) to lessen the friction that causes the chafing. Also, once I am chaffed, I put neosporin on it and it helps it to clear up.
I also try to find longer underwear (that has actual legs) and this helps -- particularly if you are wearing skirts.
I have had skin tags in that area but they were never painful as they developed. However, I had one skin tag that would definitely rub the seam of my pants and swell up and be very painful.
Good luck. I hate "big girl thigh problems" as my friend calls them...
Im glad to hear im not the only person with the problem. Man these suckers can hurt. I will go out tomorrow and see if I can find some. I luckily have neosporin in the cabinent so I will go put some on right away. I never thought about the baby powder, thanks for the advice. Its highly appreciated!!!!

Hiya Angel, this happened to me when I was younger, and oddly was lighter back then.. strange.
Anyways, what helped me was baby diaper rash cream.. cleared it up lickity split. I think I used the old school Desitin type, not the creamy one, but the dense clear one.. its been so long that Im not remembering if it had a different name. I would just take a shower at night and put that on before sleep, for me it cleared up significantly during the course of the night. I dont think it would work too well with clothes and all that nonsense during the day, maybe thats a great time for the powder.
I hope you start feeling better whatever works for you.
I use baby powder too. But cornstarch also works wonders!

The shortest distance from a problem to its solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The man who kneels before God can stand up to anything!
It can either be a "heat rash" due to moisture and your panties rubbing (kinda like a diaper rash) and desitin type creams work well.
It can also be a yeast infection on your skin. There you want to use a Monistat or an antifungal cream like you get for athlete's foot.
As for the underware thing, my DH bought boxers once and they were way too small for him but they fit me. When I get a heat rash on the inside of my leg where my panties rub, I then put the cream on and wear the boxers.
Hope that helps.

Arrrg, I hate when that happens!! I used to get that in the summer. What helped is wearing frillies with covered leg elastic (I think its Jockey) and softer fabric pants. Jeans are evil when ya got the rash and corduroy will just make fire. (I once wore a pair of corduroy and I swore I smelled smoke) Anywho, when I got it bad I would pop an anti-inflammitory (sp) and use a steriod cream. I hope you feel better and if people ask why your walking weird just tell em you just had great sex... teehee
