I had a BAD reaction on Met., and can not take it anymore. Are there any natural-herbal
subsitutes ????? I was losing weight on it, but it made my gall bladder very ANGRY.

Definetly. Check out the "alternate remedies" and "other meds" forums and there are other options....things like Avandia & Actos. There is also alternatives like chromium.

I have found great success treating my PCOS with alternatives.

They got my cycles regular, 27-29 days, they helped me conceive.
I used the alternatives, along with Met and Progesterone to help prevent m/c.

I stopped everything after my baby was born, gained weight, and started getting long cycles again.

Now I am using the alternatives alone, and they got my cycles regular again, and they have stayed regular since I started last Jan, and I have finally be able to start losing weight.

I have a friend who had absent AF for 14 years (except while on BCP's and 1 AF, 3 months after starting Met) She has not been using anything the last few years. Last year, she tried the same type of alternatives as me (only 1 a day), and 2 weeks later AF arrived. A few months later, she tried it again, taking 2 a day, and AF arrived 1 week later. She has taken it off and on since Feb, and AF arrived 7 times last year.

I ended up having to take my gallbladder out. After it started acting up, the attacks would not stop. But I am fine on Met now.
